by Robert Stolpe October 20th, 2009 Canon announces their next professional camera, 16.06 million image pixel EOS-1D Mark IV to replace the Current EOS-1D Mark III. Last week Nikon announced their latest pro camera the Nikon D3S. Both cameras ofer significant improvements over the previous models. While no one will probably want to switch brands for either of the two cameras despite differences. The real question is when will the be available? Best place to get a review with additional links is http://www.robgalbraith.com Also linked on Rob Galbraith's site is a new video shot by Vincent Laforet showing the Video power of the new camera similiar to his 5D Mark II video. See http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/2009/10/19/lights-out-camera-action/ Make sure you read the discussion in his blog for some fun and interesting comments. Photo East is a few days in NYC. There should be a few more interesting products the next few days. Another thing to watch is the new digital media. 32 and 64 Gig cards are out there but for a small fortune in the 5$500 to $800 range. |
